Today's finished piece is an assemblage on a very thin, shingle-like piece of wood. It started with paint and some black marker only to finish in beaded glory. I became totally absorbed in the process of gluing the beads on in a random manner but the other elements found their way into the composition in no time.
This new work, along with a favorite recent new three dimensional work titled " Island Memoir" (because it reminds me of something you would see on a Mediterranean island) are now available in my shop.
I enjoy painting and making things with my hands. I started painting and selling my art on the web simultaneously in 2003. I love using my imagination and intuition in my painting and other creative work. Frequently my work has been shown in galleries but I prefer spending my time in the studio working and offering the work online. I frequently change things up including my website presentation. Most of my time when not involved in art-making involves my family and Jemmi (our West Highland Terrier), cooking and other domestic activities, and escaping to the beach. This blog is the answer to not having an "about me" page on my website.
