This morning's warm up turned into two paintings I liked very much when finished.
The first started with blocks of color which were then overlayed with blocks of black. I went a little overboard with the black because I rarely do, so I did and went from there. Where it rested reminded me of hanging chimes, hence the title Carillon.
The second painting went all red, violet and orange with some black to anchor it. The title Marrakech Market seemed appropriate.
I enjoy painting and making things with my hands. I started painting and selling my art on the web simultaneously in 2003. I love using my imagination and intuition in my painting and other creative work. Frequently my work has been shown in galleries but I prefer spending my time in the studio working and offering the work online. I enjoy changing things up including my website presentation. Most of my time when not involved in art-making involves my family and Jemmi (our West Highland Terrier), cooking and other domestic activities, and relaxing at the beach. This blog is the answer to not having an "about me" page on my website.
